Recently, I have been learning to appreciate our daughter’s differences and enjoying her humor. I have noticed that because God made us in his image and loves us, we can love and care for our children in the way God wants us to.
I have been taking photos of her, posting it to my Facebook story as well as her Instagram page and I am enjoying that. I have noticed that when I give Emily attention, such as taking her for a walk or doing her nails, it results in her being in a better mood. I also noticed that when she and I read a book together, she would read. She has begun to use watercolor on blank pictures, but I am not sure if this is her favorite activity. She loves listening to music and watching her favorite prime movies repeatedly.
Although, I have placed this last on this blog, prayer for Emily is the first thing on my agenda every day. I pray for strength to continue to help Emily and I pray for her healing. God can do the utmost for each of us, but we must put everything in his hands. My prayer for you today is that God will give you strength, lift you from tiredness or depression, guide you, encourage you, and give you joy and peace even in your most difficult moment. You will know that God who has called you is also carrying you. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
