There is an old saying in Trinidad and Tobago, where I am from, that states, “God does not give you more than you can bear.” Trinidadians believe that, regardless of the issues that they face, God is going to deliver them from the burdens they bear. As a special needs mom, I will go one step further and state that deliverance comes in the strength that God has given me to cope with all aspects of my daughter’s care.
In 1 Corinthians 10:13, the Bible states that “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” God will give me the wisdom, strength, and guidance that I need. He would never leave me alone, for God is faithful.
I want to encourage you as a special needs mom, never to give up, for God is with you in difficult moments and during times when you feel that you do not have strength to go on. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Greetings Joan, I appreciate these encouraging words of christ. I miss you and I hope we can connect soon.
May the lord continues to grant you and your family grace, good health and prosperity in Jesus Almighty name.

Hello Imani,
I sure miss you as well. The Covid has allowed some good things to happen as well as slow down some areas. However, we thank God in all circumstances. He has kept us alive. I have a Youtube channel now. Overcoming Life Issues with Joan M Blake author. @JoanMBlake
