In the midst of a busy season where I am finding myself after carrying a massive load with God’s help, I am ready to take care of myself. When I look back, I realize how much I gave to my children even our youngest daughter who is special needs and still lives with us. This year marked the first time in a few years where I released her entirely to God.
I released her by sending her to a day-program five days per week so she can make friends and interact with others. While I was teaching her myself, I realized that I was taking on much more than I was able to handle, and I was not able to get work for my ministry accomplished, find quiet times for myself, and schedule workout times, which I need to do while she is away.
I give the glory to God who opened my eyes to the truth of His word, that as a mother of a special-need daughter, I must take time to care for myself while caring for my daughter. Jesus, during his earthly ministry took time out to pray. God is able to do exceedingly more than we can do for ourselves according to the power working within us. Only by activating God’s power working through us that we can achieve anything.
May God bless you,
