Have you ever reached a crossing point in your life, not knowing what to do? What is that like for you?
I am at that crossing point in my life. My husband and I have always advocated for our daughter. When our daughter Jo-An was a teenager, we advocated for her and prevented a doctor from a psychiatric hospital from assigning her to a locked down facility.
We requested a second opinion and were able to pull her out of that hospital where she stayed for months. Our experience at the second hospital was not as strict as the first, but we still had challenges. We suffered with stress during those early years and would not want to go through those difficulties any longer.
Currently, our daughter attends an Adult-day health program which has a great transportation system, great food, and the administrators and the teachers are kind to her, but she attends the program only one or two days instead of four days. Attending one or two days does not give me enough time to write or work on the ministry that God has assigned to me.
I have been researching various educators and systems and seeing what may be best for our daughter. I have decided to pray and wait on God and not make a decision that may back-fire on me. God hears our cries and answers our prayers in His time and according to His will (Psalm 34:17; 1 John 5:14-15). If you have any information that may help me, please do not hesitate to email me at info@christianresourcenetwork.org. I would appreciate it. May God bless you.
