Behold king Jesus, the giver of life, king of kings, the Lord of Lords, merciful in the heavens and the earth. I give him thanks and praise for his goodness and mercy, for giving me strength day by day, for carrying my burdens, and for giving me hope.
I do not know about you, but every step of the way, God shows me there is hope for me. I have endured much but during my journey, I have come to know King Jesus more. He shows up when I least expect it. A week ago, I accompanied my daughter to her doctor’s appointment. After the appointment, we had five minutes to board the ride to go home. I stopped at Panera Bread at the hospital and asked a woman if she was waiting in line and she said “no”. In an instant, she came to the front of the line and told me I could order anything I wanted, and she would pay for it, and she did.
Taking the MBTA ride with my daughter for her medical appointments has been a joy for me. I meet disabled people and we have conversations. A week ago, I met a friend who I met at a former church, and we exchanged telephone numbers. So many of us have things in common, but we do not know unless we come intact with others. This life is a journey, and with King Jesus, who spreads his love to all of us, we can offer help and love not only to our special needs adult children, but to others as well.
May God bless you as you continue to reach out and love others.
In Christ,
