When we look at our special needs adults and realize one day we will not be here to take care of them, if you are like me, you feel sad. But isn’t that what life is all about? We live, die, and leave our children behind. We have a short time here on earth, so we have to maximize our time by doing the things God wants us to do. If for example, God has called you to a ministry, you want to make sure that you do the best with the giftings God has granted you. We need to love our neighbors as we love ourselves and that includes our family members, friends, and those who do not treat us right. Most importantly, we must give God thanks for all that he has done for us and prepare to meet our maker.
We thank God for his grace, for sending his Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins so we could receive salvation and eternal life. Remember that Jesus paid the price for our sins, so all we have to do is confess our sins, ask God for forgiveness, and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. 1 John 1:9 reminds us that God promises to forgive us when we confess our sins. You complete the process of preparing to meet your maker when you receive salvation and eternal life.
