We have family and friends who care about us, but no one cares about us like God. In the midst of severe challenges, God is with us every minute of the day or night. He is with us when we feel ill and when we do not want to get out of bed. He is there with us holding us up when we are having difficulties getting our loved ones ready for their day programs.
Our hope is in God, and we can say with surety that without God, we can do nothing (John 15:5). In God, we have hope, strength, life, peace, joy (Romans 15:13), and all things that pertain to life and godliness. When things are not going well, that does not mean the end of our story. We have the Holy Spirit living inside of us bringing stillness, love, and joy to us (Rom. 8:6). We need not give in to depression, but instead, praise God who has given us life, and who sent His Son to die in our place, paying our sin debts so we can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, receive salvation, and eternal life (Rom.6:23).
We are God’s children, joint heirs with the resurrected Christ, who sits on the right hand of God, the Father, interceding on our behalf (Rom. 8:34, Heb. 7:25). Almighty God has power over all principalities and powers in the heavenly realm. We must seek him and put our hope and trust in Him.
