On December 19, 2024. I accompanied my special needs daughter to two appointments. Before getting to the first appointment, my daughter was very loud. Luckily, she decided to walk to the front desk, and we were directed to the area where she would have her examination. Before changing into her gown, she was talking loudly so I decided to pull a chair from the seating area and place it next to the restroom and allow her to listen to some of my YouTube videos. I was amazed to find a video that states that God is with us in the times of trouble, (Psalm 46:1), and I was in a lot of trouble at that moment. She calmed down, went into the changing room, changed into a gown, but refused to leave the room for forty minutes until her name was called. While that allowed her to remain calm and not disturb others, the inconvenience was that I had to tell every person that my daughter was in that room. When the technician called her name, I told her that my daughter was in the changing room and that if she did not mind, she could go in and ask her to leave the room for her examination. At that point, we followed the technician to the examination room. God gave me wisdom for that moment and strength to manage the situation. I could not do it without God’s help.
For our second appointment, she recognized the nurse practitioner who we met last year. The examination went well. After leaving the examination, I bought some food and drinks and made it to the first floor where we waited for the Ride which arrived late. Because there was another passenger who needed to be dropped off first, the drive was extremely long and tiring. When I got home, I made some tea before going to bed. I was thankful to God for a trying but successful day.
