Stand Firm when You Feel Hopeless.

For the past two weeks, I have felt empty not knowing where God was leading me. I was on a path where God was calling me to depend on Him fully. No longer was I to take on senseless projects that glorified self, but ones that God permitted me to do for His glory. As we celebrate Black History month, let us not forget Maya Angelou’s words, “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. Please remember that your difficulties do not define you. They simply strengthen your ability to overcome.”

I knew that my lifework and my daughter’s life-journey are intertwined; however, I felt collaborating with her was so difficult and I could not fathom how God can use me effectively  working with her and others like her. However, I have never shied away from helping her to better herself or ever lost my faith in the God who heals.

I have decided to stand firm in my faith knowing that God will come through for me. He will come through for you if you do not give up either. When situations seem so heightened to a point when I do not understand what God is doing, I refuse to feel hopeless. Feeling hopeless is a mere temporary feeling. I cannot be hopeless while still having faith. I will trust God always, for there is nothing too hard for God (Jeremiah 32:17). The God who made heaven and earth and everything in it, can do all things. If he can do all things, with Him, all things are possible (Matt.19:26). I trust that you too, will come to that realization that knowing, believing, and trusting in a mighty God is all that you and I need.

May God bless you.
