Testing of your faith produces perseverance. This is a true saying and I have proved it in my life for If I did not exercise faith in my life-believing in the miraculous power of God, I would have given up long ago. But what is life if we do not put faith to the test and depend on God fully? We will never know our giftings, our strength, our purpose, what God is teaching us in the trial, and how much God can do for us.
Day by day, I face difficulties which include dealing with my special-needs daughter. I overcome these battles by the words of my testimony (Rev.12:11). I believe living a life of faith is far better than going through continued battles and drowning in them or thinking that I can go through life alone. During battles that seem to linger and take away my joy, I put these in the hands of Jesus and leave them there (Matt. 11: 28-30) and find solace in serving others. I am not suggesting that you ignore your problems completely and not seek help if that is possible, but if it is not possible, you leave your problems in the hands of God “Who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Eph.3:20).
Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:14 to “Press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. Burdens may come to prevent you and me from moving forward in God, but we must press on knowing that the testing of our faith produces perseverance. May God bless you.
